American Express has specific requirements for issuing credit and charge cards in India. If you want to get an Amex card, you need to meet the following criteria.

  • Both Indian residents and foreign nationals can apply for an Amex credit or charge card in India, as long as they provide the necessary documents.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old, regardless of their nationality.
  • For those who are employed, the minimum annual income should be at least Rs 4.5 Lakh, while self-employed individuals need to have a minimum income of Rs 6 Lakh.
